From the first of January, 2025, small business owners who deliberately underpay their workers will face criminal prosecution.

It's a hugely significant change, bringing with it, consequences with teeth. However, Fair Work Ombudsman Anna Booth says prosecutions can't be made unless wages are proven to be deliberately withheld. Anna also reveals that several compliance tools have been launched to help businesses owners ensure that they're doing the right thing.
